I am quite fond of this song. Not only does it capture the excitement of a player eager to get out on the field, but I played centerfield for my high school softball team. Being an outfielder isn’t as easy as some would like to think.

Everytime I hear this song I get excited for baseball. 🙂 Also Boys of Summer by Don Henley. They played it along with a highlights montage after the last game of the 2003 Royals season and it had me so excited for the next year. It didn’t turn out the way I had hoped but I still remember it fondly. 🙂
I never really associated “Boys of Summer” with baseball, but I probably will from now on. It’s a great end-of-the-season tune 🙂
