There was a great shot in last night’s Reds Brewers game. Carlos Gomez was standing on second base chatting with Brandon Phillips and both announcers said the same thing pretty much simultaneously; something to the effect of ….”two of baseball’s most affable players” and one of the announcers added, “and why wouldn’t they be? They’re playing a great game and getting paid for it.”
Off topic, but I never realized how much Campanella looks like Aramis Ramirez at least in the above picture with facial features almost identical.
It’s true — such a great game, and who wouldn’t love to make a career of it? It often bothers me to see all the salary demands and other such disgruntlement among players, because, really, they’re pretty much living a dream.
