This day in baseball: Goslin elected to HoF Precious Sanders 11 years ago Goose Goslin was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame on January 28, 1968 by a unanimous vote by the Veterans Committee. A former outfield for the Senators and the Tigers, Goslin played in five World Series and retired with a .316 batting average.
