if i’m not mistaken and i think we’ve discussed this before, Gehrig didn’t play every inning of these games where as Ripkken had the knack for playing all 9 or close to it. Of course now I’m just getting picky since i can barely make it 2 months without calling in sick or enjoying a scheduled day off.
I vaguely recall this as well. Both men were forces of nature, that much is for sure.
