Here comes another season, and nobody knows what’s going to happen. Nobody can say for sure. We can study and study and make plans for our team and for the season, but what we don’t know is always there. It’s the best part of the game.

“but what we don’t know is always there” So i guess he believes in predestiny, only we can’t really see it? so there was no way of him knowing how Barry Bonds would almost go hitless in three consecutive playoff series in the early 90’s or there was a way, but it was invisible? I’m confused. I guess we all are. Palm readers, soothsayers, Nostradamus never hurt.
I don’t know that he put that much thought into the phrase, but I like the questioning analysis. Whether he considered it or not, it is very telling.
