Agree. Why then, in youth baseball, does it seem like they never focus on pitching??? Pitching. Pitching. Pitching. That’s what I always say. Of course, my son – he’s a catcher. 🙂
Hm… I think it probably depends on the team. As a kid, I remember seeing coaches who DID work a lot with pitchers. And also coaches who just plucked the kid with the best arm and plopped him on the mound. Sometimes I wonder if they just don’t know HOW to coach young pitchers — a lot of these coaches are volunteers, after all.
