Quote of the day

It [baseball] will take our people out-of-doors, fill them with oxygen, give them a larger physical stoicism. Tend to relieve us from being a nervous, dyspeptic set. Repair these losses, and be a blessing to us.

~Walt Whitman

Those damn domes spoil even a Whitman quote..

    • So true! I’m glad that teams are steering away from them anymore. The retractable roofs I can live with, but the monstrosity that was the Astrodome… good riddance.

I was always a sucker for the Astrodome, probably started with the Bad New Bears second movie and my fascination never ended. The Metrodome was a different story. Drove me a little nuts, but i was probably just jealous from them winning 2 world series and Milwaukee winning not a one.
