“Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly

I’ve never seen the movie, but after watching this rendition of the song (not to mention the tap dancing!), I may have to seek out a copy.
This was one of 3 (I think) flicks Kelly and Sinatra did in the late 1940s. The others are “Anchors Aweigh” and “On the Town” (which seems to be the most famous). In “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” there’s also a fun little parody of the Tinkers to Evers to Chance poem (done with other names and as a song and dance number).

That parody makes it sound all the more interesting. Looks like the local library has a copy… I’ll have to check it out sometime soon.
The song is “O’Brien to Ryan to Goldberg.” I looked it up. Goldberg is the 1st baseman.

With those feet, Kelly would have been a hell of a middle infielder.
That would’ve been entertaining as well. I wonder if he would’ve have had the hands for it?
