This day in baseball: USA vs. Japan

The first game between an American and a Japanese professional baseball team was played on November 22, 1908.  In the game, the Reach All-Americans defeated Waseda University in Tokyo, 5-0.

  1. Robert Whiting’s books on Japanese baseball are some darn tooting good books .I’ve been in a hurry to say darn tooting! I think there’s three or four of them. I read You Gotta have Wa and the one about Ichiro and both were exciting. Can I say that about a book? That’s the word that comes to mind for both of them.
