Their struggle and persistent heartbreak continues to be subject to commentary and pop culture references. I particularly like the “ivy-covered burial ground” line in this song.
Might need an update after 2015; the way the Cubs are shaping up; maybe a Theo Epstein Joe Maddon verse? but will it be more of the same old blues or a drunk melody of joy? It’s always win win at Wrigley!
They also have the predictions of ‘Back to the Future’ on their side 😉 Or have we altered history enough to change that? Either way, it sure would be interesting to see them make a run for it.
