This day in baseball: Stealing for the cycle

Wingo stole all three bases in the same inning, completing the cycle in the bottom of the second.

I have trouble believing a catcher stole a base, let alone three in one inning. Was it during a rain delay?
Keep in mind it was 1913. Just as pitchers back then aren’t like pitchers today, I’m willing to bet the same goes for catchers 🙂
Ivy Wingo. What a name. Maybe he was dueling with the other team’s catcher?
