Happy Friday! Here’s a wonderful Peanuts strip that might give you a chuckle this morning. Based on this, it seems I was using Ken Griffey, Jr.’s glove as a kid. Too bad I don’t still have it; I could’ve sent it back to him.

This made my day! (Can you tell what year that cartoon is from?)
It’s hard to tell :(. Unfortunately, the image is too small to make out the tiny writing (even when I try blowing it up), and I can’t find another with a better resolution.
I played with Harmon Killebrew’s infielder’s glove.
Kinda makes me wonder who had the most popular glove-with-their-signature of all time.
Sounds like a topic for a Baseball Attic blog post. Mobilize the research team. 🙂

I still have my Dave Righetti glove…It always seemed weird, since I am a righty and Righetti was a lefty. As a kid I thought his name should only be on gloves for lefties.
The same occurred to me a couple times re: my Griffey glove. On the other hand, just because a kid wasn’t left-handed, doesn’t mean they didn’t want to be like Junior.
