This day in baseball: Piniella traded

On March 10, 1966, the Baltimore Orioles traded minor league outfielder Lou Piniella to the Cleveland Indians for reserve catcher Camilo Carreon. Carreon would only play in four games for the Orioles, then retired at the end of the season. Piniella only played in six games for the Indians, but then went on to appear in more than 1,700 major league games.
