i took a quick look at b-ref and discovered how bad the Tigers 89 season was and yet, they won 88 games the year before. I wonder what the largest drop off is in baseball history like some team winning 100 games one year and then losing 100 the next year. I doubt that’s ever happened, but it is pretty interesting how the Astros had those three 100 loss seasons and then a few years later had four 100 win seasons, including this year.
