This day in baseball: Reggie Jackson signs with the Yankees

On November 29, 1976, Baltimore free-agent Reggie Jackson agreed to a five-year, $3.5 million contract to join the New York Yankees. During Mr. October’s eventful tenure in the Big Apple, New York would win four divisions, three pennants, and two World Series.
