The last time they were in one was 1945. Hey, any team can have a bad century.

It’s not always that Trebelhorn gets a reference. I was always entertained by his quotes when he managed the Brewers in the late 80’s. I vaguely remember reading a book that mentioned his belief in ghosts and indian burial mounds. The book was on the shelf at a bookstore with chairs so I sat around a while and thumbed through it and now I’m trying to find the name of the book and I think I found it. Haunted Baseball: Ghosts, Curses, Legends, and Eerie Events. I found it through this website which mentioned Trebelhorn’s name among the believers. http://www.hauntedbaseball.com/about.html
Huh. Well, I guess virtually everything else has their ghost stories, so why not baseball? One of these days, I will catch up on all the baseball books I want to read. Some day….
